The MacBook Pro Retina Late 2012 was the first 15 inch to feature a Retina display. It came with a 2.3GHz Core i7 Ivy Bridge CPU and integrated 8GB 1600MHz RAM. The replaceable SSD was available in sizes from 256GB up to 1TB. It featured Intel’s integrated HD Graphics 4000 as well as a dedicated Nvidia GeForce GT650m GPU. It was also the first 15-inch model to have a glued in battery.

This display is not compatible with later models due to a different webcam connector so make sure to order the correct one. When installing this LCD panel make sure the white sheet and back cover have no damage as it might shine through when turning on the display. The MagSafe charger for the MacBook Pro Retina 15-inch Late 2012/Early 2013 is not easy replaceable as the complete logicboard will have to be removed. If your Mac is not charging and doesn't have a green/orange light in most cases this is not a MagSafe issue but a logicboard issue. Alternatively there are compatible drives available from Transcend that are both cheaper and have a 5 years warranty and come new in box. Lastly we can use an adapter and use a standard PC M2 PCIE Drive which will be a much cheaper solution and can be bought upto 1TB. With the right tools you can replace the drive within 15 minutes, or, visit our technician. We will do the backup of your data or the clean install of the OS free of charge!
