The MacBook Pro 13-inch Late 2012/Early 2013 was the first 13 inch model to feature Apple’s new Retina Display. It came with an Intel Ivy bridge Core i5 or i7 CPU and 8GB soldered on RAM at 1600MHz. There were 128 and 256GB SSD drive options and the webcam was upgraded from 480p to 720p HD. This model was also first to have the battery glued into the frame making replacement difficult, but not impossible.
