Mac Mini Late 2014 Repairs & Upgrades

The Mac Mini Late 2014 ships with the Core i5 1.4GHz Intel “Haswell” CPU and 4GB soldered RAM which was upgradable at the time of purchase to 8 or 16GB. It had a 500GB SATA drive installed and Intel HD Graphics 5000. It also featured Thunderbold 2 and faster Wifi. This model does not support two 2.5″ drives like the previous model.

SSD upgrade Mac Mini Late 2014

The MacMini 2014 has an option for an Apple proprietary SSD drive and a "standard" SATA laptop drive. This laptop drive can be replaced with a low cost high speed SSD drive but unlike the older model it cannot have 2 SATA drives installed. Upgrading to at least a 250GB SSD drive is recommended. The installation is pretty complex , we can do this for you in about 2 hours.
