Is your Harddrive Cable Defect?
Do you see a question mark folder on your MacBooks display? This might be an indication of a bad Harddrive Cable. Especially the MacBook Pro 2012 models have a lot of these cables failing. We usually replace these cables with the 2011 version which does not have this issue. The wires inside the cable are easy to crack for the 2012.
